Accurate Engineering Builds Worlds Fastest Panhead September, 2006---Accurate Engineering’s
‘Outlaw 120’ made history during the Bonneville Salt Flats
2006 International Motorcycle Speed Trials. The “Salt Shaker”,
powered by Accurate’s 120 cubic inch Panhead motor, was 5-Ball
Racing’s entry on the flats. Keith “Bandit” Ball
ached to get back to Bonneville since his involvement in the Easyrider
streamliner record run in 1990 and created 5-Ball Racing to taste
the salt again. He assembled a winning team including veteran rider,
Valerie Thompson, who piloted the “Salt Shaker” (a John
Reed designed Custom Chrome Sport Bike chassis with Accurate’s
snarling engine) built by Bandit and John VanTrump in the Bikernet
Headquarters. The ‘Outlaw 120’ blasted the motorcycle
across the flats and into the record books.
